Afternoon RBT/ABA Behavior Technician: Part Time
Strategic Therapy Autism Services is seeking experienced ABA therapists/RBTs in the Hamilton, NJ area for immediate hire. Strategic Therapy is a Behavioral Health Agency providing home‑based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services throughout New Jersey. We are looking for caring and professional ABA Technicians to provide ABA services for children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA.
Job Responsibilities
Provide in‑person 1:1 direct ABA therapy to an individual with autism in an after‑school program
Work collaboratively with BCBAs and supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the supervision of a BCBA
Collect behavior and skill acquisition data and submit session notes on an electronic data system during sessions
Receive training and feedback from the BCBA
Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions
Attend professional development trainings to maintain technical knowledge as required
Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
Be goal‑oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
Ensure client safety, maintain respect, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
Job Requirements
1 year of experience providing ABA therapy
1 year of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is required
Familiarity with ABA therapy techniques and behavior management strategies
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
Drive to be part of an innovative and growing organization with great potential
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Successful completion of a criminal history background check
Reliability, punctuality, organization, and a self‑starter attitude
Able to work independently and be creative
Access to a mobile device for data collection and session notes
RBT Certification preferred; certification courses will be offered at no cost
