This remote position with co-location in the CDSS Chico and Sacramento offices as needed will provide preventive, supportive, and educational services to post-adoptive families, including short-term interventions based on the individualized needs of the family related to adoption issues. Travel to assigned counties is required for support groups, family events, and/or AAP. Compensation
Base pay range: $68,640.00/yr - $73,000.00/yr Primary Responsibilities
Provide education and information to assist families in understanding the family situation and learning strategies in parenting. Assess family needs and assist families with appropriate community linkages, advocacy support, and skill building. Brief case management for post adoptive families, brief initial assessment to complete a family support plan. Provide families with strategies to assist with increasing attachment in their home and in learning a variety of techniques to respond to challenging behaviors. Other duties as outlined in the position description. Qualifications
Master\'s degree in social work or a related field is required. Experience working with pre and post adoptive families is preferred. Ability to travel to Chico office monthly, as well as various Northern California counties quarterly (Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, Siskiyou, Lassen, Modoc, among others). Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (3) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Benefits
