Responsibilities
Be dependable and skilled in handling financial information, performing insurance verification, and preparing end-of-day reports, while keeping patients worry-free.
Perform clerical tasks such as sorting, opening and distributing mail, scanning, and photocopying. Answer phone calls and provide information to callers; greet visitors/patients; schedule, verify, and confirm patient appointments.
Explain procedures and/or services to patients using dental knowledge.
Present financial policies and arrangements to patients, collect co-payments, and verify insurance coverage as appropriate.
Track appointments due to no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
1-5 years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience preferred
Knowledge of dental software, Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn new programs as needed
