Overview
(USA) Overnight Stocking Coach, Non-Complex, Management Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr. Position Summary and responsibilities include leading and developing teams, ensuring excellent customer service, managing store operations, budgeting and controlling expenses, merchandising, and implementing business solutions. This role includes supervising hourly associates, supporting store initiatives, and promoting a culture of belonging and integrity. What you'll do
Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage and support customer service initiatives, resolve customer issues, and implement action plans to correct deficiencies. Drive financial performance by reviewing PL statements, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring alignment with sales, including effective merchandise presentation and seasonal transitions. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals for the designated business area. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and recognizing performance; foster a belonging mindset. Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and relationships with key stakeholders; support plans to meet customer and business needs; measure progress and identify improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; uphold ethics and integrity; apply Open Door Policy in business processes and practices. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities selling only ammunition with state requirements: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U) and Bellevue University; or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U) and Bellevue University; or experience supervising 5+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
