Overview Position Summary: Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Models exceptional customer service standards and drives the customer experience through the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
What you’ll do
Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, touring stores, providing feedback and communicating with all levels of associates.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, setting clear expectations and promoting a sense of belonging.
Ensure compliant execution of store operations, open-door principles, ethics and integrity, and the company mission and values.
Drive financial performance for the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses aligned to sales.
Oversee merchandising, inventory flow, seasonal transitions, and actions to mitigate shrink while achieving sales and profit goals.
Coordinate activities with stakeholders and promote continuous learning and adaptability.
Foster a culture of belonging, collaboration, and respect, while attracting and developing talent.
Responsibilities
Develop action plans to address deficiencies and provide process-improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Support customer service initiatives and community programs; resolve customer needs and issues effectively.
Identify improvement opportunities and promote accountability for results.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of firearm-specific CBC and firearms training may be required.
Associates will be required to attend and complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
Experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
