The Assistant Facilities Manager plays a key role in supporting both Facilities and Office Services to ensure the RadicalMedia New York office operates safely, efficiently, and at the high standards expected by staff, clients, and guests. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You’ll be involved in every aspect of maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace – from the kitchen to the conference rooms to the bathrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all day-to-day activities related to the operation and maintenance of the kitchen.
Assist the Facilities Manager with general office maintenance, including cleanliness, equipment upkeep, waste disposal, carpet cleaning, light bulb replacement, and staff office moves, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner.
Maintain a consistent daily routine of sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and glass cleaning throughout the office to ensure all spaces are kept neat, sanitary, and client ready at all times.
Keep all kitchen food supplies organized – snacks, coffee, fruit, condiments, etc. – storing and handling food in compliance with health and safety practices.
Restock snacks and beverages in the kitchen throughout the day, keeping items fresh, organized and readily available for staff and clients.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness on a regular schedule, ensuring that food is disposed of properly and that all surfaces and appliances meet sanitary standards. This includes emptying and disinfecting each refrigerator once a week, in addition to daily upkeep.
Maintain bathroom cleanliness on a regular schedule – approximately every 45 minutes – restocking soap, paper products, and addressing any immediate maintenance or cleanliness needs.
Monitor the condition of the glassware, dishes and utensils, replacing any items that are chipped.
Support our hospitality staff with client food setups, being aware of the meeting purpose so that you can provide thoughtful presentation and add small touches that enhance the client experience.
When delivering food setups via cart, check the meeting room for cleanliness and functionality to ensure our staff and clients are always set up for success.
Assist the Facilities Manager with maintaining an equipment maintenance schedule and detailed service tracking for all kitchen and office appliances.
Coordinate the daily opening of the NY office, making sure all doors are open, lights are on, glass walls are wiped clean, and breakfast items are prepared and placed.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform light physical labor safely.
Requirements
At least two years of experience in a similar role/environment.
Unlimited paid time off after 6 months.
Salary range $43,000 – $45,000 depending on number of years of experience.
Company covers between 80% - 100% of insurance premium depending on plan chosen.
