A Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) Heavy Equipment Operator (Technical/Support II) position is available at Schofield Barracks, HI with Colorado State University (CSU) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML. This position provides Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) services to complete soil stabilization and vegetation management activities for Range Division Hawaii at Schofield Barracks. HEOs will conduct work in support of the LRAM component of the Army\'s Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program. This position will operate heavy equipment such as 10- to 25-ton dump trucks, dozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, vibratory compactors, scrapers, forestry mowers (FECON), track hoes, agricultural tractors, and back hoes to complete LRAM projects. Primary functions include soil stabilization and vegetation management on Army lands. The position also requires tracking and preparing daily and weekly reports. Schofield Barracks is located on Oahu; work location is in-person and may vary based on partner/project needs. Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment including dozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, vibratory compactors, scrapers, forestry mowers (FECON), track hoes, agricultural tractors, back hoes, 10- to 25-ton dump trucks, and skid steers to complete LRAM projects. Perform soil stabilization and vegetation management on Army lands. Track and prepare daily and weekly reports related to field activities. Follow safety standards and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. Required Job Qualifications
Must possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license and meet CSU standards for driving. Installation access must be maintained without restriction for continued employment. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date; CSU/CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship. High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 2 years\' experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment (e.g., Dozers, Motor graders, Front-end loaders, Forestry mowers, Agricultural tractors, Back hoes, Skid Steer). Experience driving pickup trucks with and without trailers. Ability to work outdoors and perform physically strenuous labor under all weather conditions; able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly. Be able to follow directions, work collaboratively in a team, and maintain safe working standards. Preferred Job Qualifications
Knowledge/experience in soil stabilization, land clearing, site preparation, site revegetation, and erosion control practices to meet BMPs and CWA requirements. Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL).
