This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by The Koury Family of McDonald’s Restaurants and not McDonald’s USA. The DEPARTMENT MANAGER position is located in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant.

Department Manager Responsibilities

Lead shifts each week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, safe and friendly experience.

Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.

Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to the team and other managers.

Oversee guest service, ensuring crew and managers deliver great customer experiences and promotions are executed well.

Manage front counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru operations to maximize service efficiency.

Ensure kitchen staff meet quality, service time, and cost control standards; train them on new menu items.

Handle recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition of restaurant crew.

Conduct “Best First Week” orientation and motivate crew throughout employment.

Qualifications

Previous McDonald’s management experience required.

Preferred courses: Leadership Transitions (LT), Food Safety, OTP – but training will be provided if not already completed.

Positive team player with flexible schedule, passion for fast‑paced environments.

Minimum age 18 years.
