Overview
Job Title: Lead Program Manager - LNG
Location: Hybrid (3 times/week from Madison office). Relocation expenses provided. Contract may be extended.
Job Description: Lead Program Manager for development and construction of a Liquid Natural Gas Facility (LNG). You will be responsible for managing the development, construction and transition to operation of the LNG facility utilizing the Alliant Energy Program and Project Management methodology and processes. This position will lead the project team, manage risk, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, Owner’s Engineer (OE), Engineer of Record (EOR), and other project stakeholders. Prior experience leading LNG projects is required.
Responsibilities
Understand and utilize Alliant Energy project management methodologies (based on PMI Standards) to deliver scope, schedule and cost objectives while effectively managing risks.
Support program and project governance reviews.
Determine project business needs and deliverables; establish and manage costs, resources, performance measurements, timeline, and deliverables; may perform cost/benefit analyses.
Determine appropriate project resources and staffing skills; assess strategies to reduce overall project risk.
Manage applicable project contracts with sourcing; prepare RFPs, evaluate responses, negotiate, interpret contract language, and manage finances; ensure work meets specifications and schedule.
Develop and execute communication and stakeholder management plans; report project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders in agreed formats and frequencies.
Ensure training needs are met for project team members and project users.
Ensure smooth transition to operational teams, proper closeout of work orders, and proper documentation and reassignment of team members.
Apply organizational change management within project management context.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; proficient use of computer software (email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management).
Ability to work in a diverse environment; work under the direct supervision of a manager or director.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in project management, engineering, or related area.
Required Experience:
15 years professional experience in program or project management managing multiple large projects; demonstrated experience managing LNG projects.
