Shipping Clerk . Compiles and maintains records regarding shipments, put away and letdown paperwork. This position will be responsible for ensuring data entry is conducted on a timely basis to ensure up-to-date inventory numbers. The Shipping Clerk will assist with all shipping and receiving procedures while providing excellent customer service. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that the paperwork for all shipments leaving the distribution center is complete and accurate. You will check drivers in and out throughout the day, handle bills of lading (BOLs), and utilize various systems, frequently interacting with warehouse personnel and carriers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Processing inbound and outbound shipments in the warehouse Obtains put-away and letdown paperwork from the outgoing shift and enters the information into RUMBO Creates new complete inventory report for the current shift Obtains outbound paperwork from the Shipping Supervisor and completes the transaction in the system Obtains signatures from all outside carriers on Bills of Lading and Delivery receipts Works with all department members to identify and develop corrective action plans to eliminate inaccurate/damaged shipments Identifies customer shortages and verifies warehouse inventory to determine the validity of shortage claims In conjunction with Transportation, tracks and identifies OS&D figures and develops methods to reduce such claims Develops methods to improve the department through selection and inventory improvements as identified Enters inventory counts on quarterly reconciliation and develops recount sheets based on given parameters Interacts with warehouse associates and troubleshoots issues Assists with daily and weekly reports Works jointly with Supervisors and Management to meet warehouse metrics Prioritizes workload and adjusts flexibly based on position requirements Performs other clerical duties as assigned by the department manager Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Meeting company standards regarding quantity and quality of work, performing tasks in compliance with all policies and procedures, and adhering to safety and GMP regulations. You must be aware of food safety issues, recognize hazards, and know how to prevent and address them. Knowledge of the SQF code is required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent required At least 2 years of shipping/receiving experience Customer service experience is a plus WMS experience required SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong computer and math skills Good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with warehouse staff Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Maintaining confidentiality is essential Regular, predictable attendance is required What can Europastry offer to you?
