Disaster Recovery Procurement Specialist
to support a major client in the energy and utilities sector. The position involves leading strategic sourcing initiatives that support disaster preparedness and emergency response, suitable for a mid-career professional with strong procurement skills and a proactive mindset. Responsibilities Lead sourcing strategies for emergency response, disaster recovery, and infrastructure support. Manage RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes, including supplier identification, proposal evaluation, and contract negotiations. Conduct spend analysis and supplier risk assessments aligned with business continuity and resilience goals. Build and maintain a vetted supplier network capable of rapid deployment during crises. Oversee contract lifecycle management, focusing on readiness clauses and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with operations, legal, and emergency management teams for timely contract execution. Create procurement playbooks, dashboards, and response tools for crisis scenarios. Establish contracts and purchase orders with competitive pricing and delivery timelines. Coordinate with distributors and stakeholders to meet project deadlines and ensure supply availability. Support procurement analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Experience supporting large, matrixed organizations with 5,000+ employees. Knowledge of emergency procurement protocols and disaster response sourcing. Experience managing supplier networks and high-value contracts. Familiarity with operational services procurement or materials sourcing. Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for sourcing decisions. Excellent communication skills.
