The Position Lead the development and maturity of OPSWAT’s internal supply chain for hardware that supports its cybersecurity products. Own end-to-end quality for servers, desktops, kiosks, and IoT devices—from supplier qualification and secure imaging to tamper‑evident packaging and field performance.
This role expands the scope of our existing Quality Control Program to include secure supply‑chain leadership, HBOM/signing standards, and chain‑of‑custody controls.
Oversee documentation for internal, government, and oversight audiences and maintain a hardware/technical library used across OPSWAT. This is an in‑office position based in our Yobor City warehouse.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop and implement quality & supply‑chain procedures
Design and execute comprehensive quality control plans to ensure the highest performance and reliability standards across all hardware SKUs
Mature a supply‑chain risk management program
Define tamper‑evident, chain‑of‑custody packaging and document each custody event from CM/ODM to customer delivery
Secure imaging, firmware integrity, and updates
Conduct thorough testing of all outbound customer orders
Lead functional, performance, stress, environmental, and ESD‑safe handling tests; maintain calibrated fixtures and golden‑unit references
Implement acceptance sampling (ISO 9001:2015) for inbound materials and critical components; manage containment and disposition
Collaborate with Cross — Functional Teams Partner with Hardware/Software Engineering (image content & signing), Product (roadmaps), Security (policy), PSIRT (vulnerability response), Legal (attestations/export), Sourcing (supplier risk), Finance (scrap/RMA), and Support (field feedback) to integrate quality throughout the lifecycle.
Analyze and Report Data Build dashboards and publish weekly metrics to drive decisions and continuous improvement: First‑Pass Yield, Supplier PPM/DPPM, OTIF, order accuracy, RMA rate by defect code, fulfillment cycle time, scan compliance, audit pass rate, and containment lead time.
Ensure Compliance
Mature and maintain our ISO 9001:2015 QMS Program
Align controls to ISO 9001:2015 and public‑sector requirements as applicable
Prepare audit evidence for customers and oversight agencies; maintain an auditable library of SOPs, work instructions, control plans, HBOMs, certificates, shipping attestations, and 8D reports
Drive Continuous Improvement
Lead PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) for new SKUs; apply SPC to reduce variability
Translate field learnings into supplier scorecards and engineering changes with measurable impact
What We Need From You 5+ years in quality control or manufacturing quality, ideally in hardware, embedded systems, or security appliances/OT‑adjacent products (e.g., data diodes, kiosks, secure gateways). Demonstrated ownership of secure imaging, HBOM management, and firmware signing/verification and update processes.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and best practices; familiarity with automated test frameworks
Hands‑on with AQL sampling, SPC, PFMEA, DVP&R, and 8D problem solving
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS, and public‑sector procurement constraints (CMMC)
Leadership & Communication
Proven ability to mentor teams in Quality functions, collaborate across functions, and present technical information to senior leadership and customers
Comfortable in a dynamic environment; excellent organization and time management; meticulous documentation habits
Tools
Proficiency with PLM/QMS (e.g., Arena/Agile), ERP/WMS, scripting for test automation (Python/PowerShell), and dashboarding (e.g., Power BI)
Certifications (preferred)
Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), CQA/CMQ/OE, CPSM, or ISO 9001 auditor credentials
