Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Serve as the front-line manager for the tax office, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives; act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office associates complete work on time with attention to quality, priorities, and goals. Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates; create associate work schedules and manage timekeeping and overtime. Recruit and interview candidates for tax office positions in collaboration with the District General Manager; assist in recruiting processes as needed. Prepare tax returns as required; resolve escalated client service concerns and ensure client scheduling is accurate and conflicts are managed. Conduct timely performance reviews and address associate issues in partnership with the Associate Relations Center. Qualifications
Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people. 2+ years as a Tax Professional (or equivalent) preferred; successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing tax returns. Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
