Medical Office Coordinator - Urology Office

Summary Coordinates the workflow and day‑to‑day activities of the medical office, supporting patient care and managing office functions such as physician scheduling, patient rescheduling, referral coordination, and prior authorization. Promotes a positive employee morale and ensures all office operations are handled effectively, professionally, and expeditiously. Keeps the Practice Manager informed of any processes or concerns related to office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Training new employees on clinical workflows, in‑basket management, and rooming standards.
Overseeing clinical competencies, equipment review, infection control, medication safety, and schedule management.
Supporting and enhancing day‑to‑day clinical efficiency and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (Medical Diploma/License/Certification or Associate Degree preferred).
Two (2) years of previous medical office experience, preferably in a physician office setting.
Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and clinical staff.
Highly motivated, able to work in a fast‑paced, stressful, and unpredictable environment.
Ability to process and complete assigned reporting requirements and demonstrate financial acumen.
Knowledge of clinical quality standards and effective leadership skills.
Computer proficiency and ability to adapt to daily changes.
Physical requirement: Light, up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
