Occupational Summary: Mentor a small team of engineers and CAD designers (approx. 5 members) in General/Physical Layout and Protection & Control packages of substation design projects. The candidate will be the sealing engineer for most of the team’s work, manage customer relations, and engage in business development with select clients. Reports to the Divisional Manager.
Requirements
Mentor and schedule work of junior engineers, designers, CAD operators.
Manage existing projects and customer satisfaction as the Customer’s Point of Contact.
Proficient in physical layout design, protection/control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, relay testing.
Perform and direct project design, including engineering calculations, software use, and referencing procedures and manuals.
Prepare complex project documents like specifications and bid documents.
Review and mark up full plan sets to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Supervise and train division Project Engineers I and II.
Perform basic functions of Microsoft Office tools.
Interface well with employees at all levels.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 5-10 years of experience, Licensed Professional Engineer.
