Occupational Summary:
Mentor a small team of engineers and CAD designers in General/Physical Layout as well as Protection & Control packages of substation design projects. The candidate will be the sealing engineer for most work produced by the team, manage customer relations, and contribute to business development with select clients. This position reports to the Divisional Manager. Responsibilities
Mentor and schedule work of junior engineers, designers, and CAD operators. Serve as Customer’s Point of Contact to manage project execution, customer satisfaction, and future business opportunities. Proficient in substation engineering areas such as physical layout, protection/control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, and relay testing. Perform and direct project design tasks, including engineering calculations, software utilization, and referencing engineering procedures. Prepare complex project documents like specifications and bid documents. Review and mark up full plan sets to ensure clarity and thoroughness of design intent. Supervise and assist in training division Project Engineers I and II. Perform basic functions in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Interface effectively with employees at all levels. Perform other related duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, five to ten years of applicable experience, and a Licensed Professional Engineer. Additional Information
