Business Development Manager - East

Role Profile Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Truly Family Farms, you will work closely with teams in the U.S. and Ireland to expand our consumer product portfolio and grow our Eastern U.S. supermarket and natural channel business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage existing Truly Family Farms accounts and business primarily within the eastern U.S.
Target, present and add new authorizations within new distributors and retailers, as well as within existing distributors and retailers.
Work closely with brokers, distributor account managers and retailer buyer category managers to gain new item authorizations and placements within retail trade channels.
Collaborate with the TGF Business Development team to grow distribution.
Customize customer presentations leveraging syndicated and internal data.
Review, analyse and manage data via internal SAP reporting, Vividly Trade Promotions Management system, and external syndicated data via Circana, SPIN’s and Nielsen.
Work closely with Marketing to deliver and optimise retailer‑focused activities.
Develop and execute annual plans and budgets at region and key customer level.
Assist with S&OP forecasting to meet demand needs.
Prepare and deliver periodic retailer, distributor and broker business reviews.
Represent Truly Family Farms at national and customer tradeshows, including occasional weekends.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in successfully growing perishable foods within retail channels.
Minimum 3 years’ knowledge and a successful track record working with key retailers and distributors focused on supermarket, natural, and independent channels within the Eastern U.S.
Experience managing brokers to achieve target goals and objectives.
Strong knowledge of butter, dairy cheese, deli cheese and plant‑based beverage selling is highly preferred.
Proficient knowledge of UNFI, KeHE, regional distributors and wholesalers.
Track record of developing, implementing and managing promotional trade plans to achieve incremental volume, ROI and budgeted trade spend.
Experience with internal online Trade Promotions Management software programs.
Start‑up mindset with the ability to multi‑task and think strategically.
Proven ability to recognise opportunities for business expansion within key customers.
Ability to create reports and metrics to track results and deliver executive presentations.
Experience interacting with senior management across various functions.
Results‑oriented and KPI‑driven.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
Position is home office based, requiring up to 50% travel.
