Construction (QA) Inspector – Tyndall AFB Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. invites applications for the Construction (QA) Inspector role based in Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB).

Base pay range:

$90,000.00/yr – $110,000.00/yr (salary based on experience)

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, pass Federal Background Review, and drug screen.

Minimum 10 years applicable experience on large complex multimillion dollar federal projects; Department of Defense preferred.

High School Diploma/GED minimum; Construction related degree preferred.

Experience with a wide range of trades, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building construction.

Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) preferred.

Experience with RMS 3.0, the three‑phase inspection process, OSHA, and EM‑385‑1‑1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.

Valid driver’s license, insurable.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform daily inspections on construction projects at federal facilities to ensure compliance with contracts, design documents, plans, and specifications.

Provide recommendations and necessary changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specifications.

Monitor contractor’s quality system and administer the three‑phase inspection process.

Provide surveillance at construction sites and assist owners in problem resolution.

Deliver and review change orders, modifications, RFIs, and submittals.

Monitor contractor’s schedule and review requests for payment.

Verify accuracy of as‑built drawings and ensure QA and safety plans are adhered to by the contractor.

Utilize Resident Management System (RMS).

Physical Requirements:

Physically mobile in construction sites and field assignments.

Ability to lift 50 lb.

Carry required instruments and equipment.

Work in variable climate and environmental conditions.
