Floor Tech

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining floors, carpets, and other surfaces in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition by following strict infection control policies and safety procedures. The ideal candidate must have experience operating and maintaining floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors. This position requires physical labor, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A clean background check is required. Job Duties: Performs environmental tasks dealing with adherence to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment Responsible for proper handling of all chemicals following proper infection control policies and proper PPE use Completes duties and responsibilities adhering to all safety and infection control policies, procedures and practices including but not limited to OSHA safety requirements, correct chemical mixing and proper usage, PPE, proper hand washing techniques, isolation procedures, safe waste handling and knowledge of emergency codes and responses Perform proper techniques of floor care and preparation of areas to be cleaned, buffed, stripped or waxed carpet cleaning Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/ burnisher, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaning solutions, tools and equipment Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience in floor care and maintenance Must have a clean background check Experience: Experience operating and maintaining floor cleaning/finishing equipment, including but not limited to: Floor buffers and burnishers Carpet cleaning equipment Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of cleaning products and their appropriate use Ability to follow safety and security procedures, including proper PPE usage and infection control protocols Capacity to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. or more and perform physical labor Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Professional demeanor and ability to work well independently or as part of a team Ability to follow supervisory instructions and adhere to the chain of command Work Schedule: Hours/schedule vary depending on location assigned. Weekends are mandatory when scheduled jobs arise.
