The City of Fremont Maintenance Operations Department is recruiting for Building Maintenance Worker I/II (HVAC & General Maintenance). VIEW THE JOB ANNOUNCEMENT.
The Department
The Maintenance Operations Department’s mission is to enhance the community by providing high quality maintenance services for city facilities, infrastructure, and fleet, supporting a desirable quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors, and delivering efficient and effective services for City buildings and fleet. The Positions
The Building Maintenance Division is seeking experienced Building Maintenance Workers to provide HVAC maintenance support for all public facilities (e.g., City Hall, Historic Buildings, Fire Stations, Police Department, Recreation facilities, Rental Housing). Responsibilities include design, fabrication, inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and evaluation of HVAC equipment; repair of HVAC systems and related apparatus; installation, repair and replacement of energy management system controls; preventive maintenance and sheet metal work, including design and fabrication. The Division is also seeking experienced Building Maintenance Workers to provide general maintenance support for the same facilities. General maintenance tasks typically include painting, electrical repairs, wall repair, roof repair, carpentry/metal work, and floor repair. First Review of Applications
