About You We are seeking a senior 3PL operations leader for a six‑month contract position onsite at our 3PL facility in Groveport, Ohio. This role will help stabilize and optimize our warehouse and distribution network following a recent transition to a new fulfillment partner.
You’ll work closely with leadership and our 3PL provider to drive operational excellence, identify root causes of performance challenges, and implement scalable solutions across inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate end‑to‑end warehouse operations, inbound receiving, storage, pick/pack, shipping, and returns, to pinpoint inefficiencies and design actionable improvement plans.
Lead KPI development and performance tracking (on‑time shipment, order accuracy, inventory variance, chargeback trends).
Partner with internal teams and the 3PL to implement standardized SOPs and ensure SLA compliance.
Oversee and validate NetSuite transaction integrity, inventory reconciliation, and system integrations with the 3PL’s WMS.
Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Finance leadership to align warehouse performance with business goals and seasonal demands.
Manage escalations and troubleshoot systemic issues across logistics, routing, and EDI workflows.
Lead special projects such as warehouse layout reconfiguration, process redesign, or 3PL transition support.
Skills & Experience Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or 3PL management; ideally within apparel, consumer goods, or e‑commerce fulfillment.
Proven record leading operational turnarounds, process reengineering, or 3PL implementations.
Deep expertise with NetSuite (required) and advanced understanding of WMS, EDI, and data‑driven performance management.
Strong financial and analytical acumen; able to assess KPIs, model operational costs, and make strategic recommendations.
Executive‑level communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented mindset with the leadership presence to command respect on the warehouse floor and in leadership meetings alike.
Compensation This consulting engagement is structured as a 1099 independent contractor role. The position offers a monthly rate of $9,000–$12,500 for around 180 hours per month, commensurate with experience.
