Overview
GMP Engineering and Cell Manufacturing Facility Business Administrator. Regular, Full-time, 40 hours/week. Reports to the Sr. Vice President, Industry Partnerships and Technical Director, GEM Facility. Responsibilities
Provide business support for the GMP Engineering and Cell Manufacturing (GEM) Facility and help ensure common business and HR practices are used in financial reporting, hiring and personnel management. Facilitate communication to resolve operational and financial problems; maintain records and files; welcome and direct on-site visitors; revise work assignments to enhance administrative support and meet department objectives; participate in team activities. Use current business practices to implement processes within the GEM Facility to ensure high customer service priority. Prepare documents and obtain quotes for procurements to send to Purchasing and Legal related to outside clients and business partnerships. Meet with Project Manager to discuss/monitor services, space needs, usage, and to identify/address operational issues. Manage office space for employees; serve as primary liaison for managers and HR within the facility for staff-related issues. Oversee financial management of facility accounts, maintain records, manage internal accounts, and prepare the annual capital and operating budget for the GEM Facility. Maintain oversight of the chargeback account and coordinate with the Project Manager to obtain GEM facility revenue for reporting; participate in annual review and development of chargeback rates with industry comparisons. Submit monthly billing to the Shared Resource Management Office and review account balances and personnel term dates to ensure proper management of employees and accounts. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a combined science and business practice working with scientific operations and business plans; or Associates degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in a combined science and business practice working with scientific operations and business plans. NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience in working with senior executive leadership team and communicating and drafting reports. Experience with hiring and ensuring compliance with HR policies. Experience with financial reporting and analysis. Excellent written communication/attention to detail. Project management experience. Other Information
