Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (Temporary / Non-Benefited) role at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This position performs patient care, health teaching and health counseling in an oncology setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities
Perform patient care procedures and routine nursing care within an oncology setting. Screen, perform venipuncture and monitor donor procedures as applicable to the setting. Maintain donor and product safety in compliance with state and federal regulations. Support patient adaptation to the disease process to achieve the highest level of wellness. Engage in professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York (license or permit to practice). Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program. Note: Degrees must be from an accredited school or recognized by Roswell Park as acceptable. Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an LPN. Experience working in an ambulatory clinic. Experience with oncology patients. Degree in a health-related field. Additional Details
