Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation. Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements. Document the technical inspections performed in the SAP-based and SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports. Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests. Compile all technical data of non-conformance to launch NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for professional assessment in accordance with manufacturing engineering documentation. Document all results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP-based IT systems. Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB). Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence. Track and maintain components during the Non-Conformance process. Education
High school diploma or GED Experience
3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies. Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems. Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination. Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line. Handling and use of inspection tools of the length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical). Physical Requirements
Onsite or remote: 100% onsite Vision: adequate to read material on computer screens and identify individuals for business interactions Hearing: able to hear safety alerts and conversations in office settings Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means Equipment Operation: able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items on the shop floor Sitting, Standing, Walking: able to sit and stand for extended periods and walk through office and production areas Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically Space Limitations: working on jigs at heights of 15 feet Able to work in confined spaces and with respirator Citizenship
