Senior Associate/Partner - Private Client Services This prestigious AmLaw 150 firm is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Associate or Partner to become an integral part of the Private Client Services Practice Group at their Sarasota office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex estate planning, tax advisement, and trusts management for a diverse clientele, including high-net-worth individuals, charitable organizations, and corporate fiduciaries. Dependent on Experience per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop sophisticated estate plans tailored to the specific needs of clients while considering financial, tax and legal strategies. Provide expert guidance on estate and gift taxation including the preparation and filing of relevant tax returns. Administer estates and trusts from initiation to closure, including managing the distribution of assets and tax obligations. Advise charitable organizations and foundations on planned giving, endowments, and other related matters. Liaise with corporate fiduciaries, such as banks and trust companies, ensuring compliance with all fiduciary responsibilities. Assist in the development of international estate planning strategies for clients with assets abroad (experience in this area is a plus). Mentor junior attorneys and support staff within the firm to build knowledge and ensure consistent service excellence. Minimum Position Qualifications: Must have 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration. Active membership in the Florida Bar is required. Proven ability to manage comprehensive estate planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve tax and legal issues as they arise. Preferred Qualifications: An LLM in Tax or Estate Planning is highly preferred, though not required. Experience in international estate planning is considered a significant advantage. Prior exposure to or partnerships with charitable organizations and corporate fiduciaries. Skills: Exceptional client service skills with a consultative approach to addressing client needs. Proficient in using legal research tools and technology related to estate planning and administration. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
