Telecommunications Foreman

is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, ensuring high-quality installation, and performing quality inspections. This individual will monitor task completion, ensure compliance, and prevent safety issues. The

Telecommunications Foreman

will have technical knowledge and experience in installing

Telecommunication Systems

including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, and DAS. This position is responsible for the installation and leading project teams in telecommunications cabling and equipment installation, in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Position Requirements: Knowledge and safe use of hand tools and various power tools Wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Following Safety Policies and Procedures Participating in daily safety and work briefings Installing various types of Low Voltage Cable Managing small to large projects (5+ persons) Conferring with senior management and supervisory personnel to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues Scheduling projects to meet deadlines Interpreting and explaining plans to field workers Terminating, testing, troubleshooting Low Voltage Cabling (Fiber Optics, Cat 5, Cat 6) Installing pathways and cable trays Installing various Telecommunications Devices Installing prefabricated components and assemblies Installing Telecommunications Grounding Systems Training and supervising technicians/apprentices in cable installation from Telecommunication Rooms to work area outlets, following drawings and run lists Performing quality assurance checks on team’s work Maintaining a clean work area and participating in site cleanup Securing tools and materials daily Travel up to 25%, domestic and/or international Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations: Current BICSI Tech certification 5+ years experience in the commercial communications industry High School diploma or GED Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance if required Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Pass background check and drug test Reliable transportation Ability to pass basic telecommunication knowledge test Timely attendance, teamwork, and safety awareness Wear long pants and shirts covering shoulders (not provided) Provide basic tools from the provided list before first day Desired Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office applications Physical Abilities: Lift at least 100 pounds at once and 60 pounds for extended periods Relocate a 12-foot ladder unaided Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders Perform routine physical activities (walking, climbing, lifting, etc.) Good vision (corrected), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English Use standard ladders within weight limits while carrying tools Recognize potential problems or hazards Apply general rules to specific problems Identify details at close range Understand spoken information and ideas
