We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our team and support our attorney in delivering outstanding legal representation. Position Summary
The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting the attorney through case preparation, document management, client communication, and administrative tasks. This full-time, on-site position requires strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and a professional demeanor to help maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal team. Key Responsibilities
– Draft, review, and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, correspondence, and client forms – File legal documents with the court system (electronically and/or in-person, as required) – Maintain and organize case files, ensuring completeness and accuracy – Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review – Assist with trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits and witness materials – Coordinate attorney schedules, including court dates, client meetings, and deadlines – Manage communication with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner – Assist with intake of new clients and gather necessary documentation – Monitor case progress and maintain case management systems and calendars – Perform other administrative and clerical duties as needed Qualifications
– Associate’s degree or certificate in paralegal studies preferred; or – Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting – Familiarity with legal procedures in family law, criminal defense, and/or personal injury strongly preferred – Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities – Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (Clio) – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Professional appearance and demeanor – This is a full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.] – Competitive salary commensurate with experience – Paid time off (PTO) and holidays How to Apply
