Business Development Strategist - Healthcare
– ISG, a forward-thinking architecture and engineering firm since 1973, with a focus on healthcare. This role serves as the vital connector between client needs, geographic market opportunities, and multidisciplinary design expertise within ISG’s Healthcare Business Unit. You will position ISG as a trusted partner to health systems, contractors, owner representatives, and vendors, leveraging an understanding of the healthcare industry’s evolving priorities, including funding models, data-informed strategies, operational workflows, and regulatory compliance. $65,000 – $175,000 / year In this role, you will work closely with ISG’s Healthcare Business Unit Leader to drive project acquisition and long-term client relationships, positioning ISG at the forefront of healthcare design and creating environments that improve community health, patient and provider experience, and operational performance. Responsibilities
Healthcare Intelligence:
Understand healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive positioning of A/E firms to guide pursuit strategies and align ISG with client needs. Internal Strategic Alignment:
Partner with the business unit leader, practice group leaders, and marketing to develop proposals, presentations, and interviews that resonate with client priorities. Client Development:
Build and nurture relationships with healthcare executives, facilities leaders, and C-suite decision-makers; identify opportunities where design and engineering add measurable value; implement regional strategies by state. Brand Positioning:
Elevate ISG’s visibility through thought leadership, conference participation, and targeted campaigns; support growth in state markets and national presence. Collaboration:
Bridge healthcare business development with architecture and engineering teams to ensure client insights inform design solutions and translate into long-term partnerships. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field (required). Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, Project Management, or M.Arch). Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (AEC) industry preferred. 10+ years of experience in Healthcare operations with strong knowledge of capital projects and investment drivers. Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach. Proven ability to build strong client relationships and promote ISG’s design solutions. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with empathetic and effective delivery. Preferred industry credentials and affiliations (see below): ASHE
