Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office-related growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. Start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is not remote and requires in-person work. Travel between offices as required. Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment. What you’ll bring to the team
Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders. Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement. Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions. Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center. Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates in all offices. Your Expertise
People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates. Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading a growth-oriented culture. Strong decision-making and judgment skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs. Computer proficiency with MS Office. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Why work for us
