Overview
Business Analyst – MS Business Central (Dynamics 365 ERP). Location: 100 S California St Tower 1_B700, Burbank, CA 91505, USA. Term: 12 months (Possibility for Extension). Position Summary
Warner Bros. Discovery's Licensing and Publishing Technology team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to support our DC Comics Publishing operations. This role will focus on optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, improving data workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency across publishing processes. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and communication skills with a passion for ERP systems and business process optimization. Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Functional Design Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine ERP and workflow-related requirements. Translate business needs into functional design specifications, wireframes, process flows, and detailed documentation. Evaluate current-state processes to identify operational gaps and recommend improvements. Ensure functional alignment across cross-functional teams and integrated platforms. Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including business and technical artifacts. Quality Assurance & UAT Develop test plans, test scripts, and testing frameworks for ERP and workflow enhancements. Lead internal QA testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Document test outcomes and ensure stakeholder sign-off for all enhancements. Project & Operational Support Support project tracking through status reports, risk logs, and issue registers. Assist in project coordination, documentation, and ad-hoc data/process analysis. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within publishing technology systems and workflows. Deliverables Detailed business requirements and user stories Process maps (current-state and future-state) Functional design documentation Test scripts and documented test results Project documentation including status updates, risk logs, and issue trackers Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role Proven ability to gather and translate complex business requirements into actionable specifications Experience with functional documentation, workflow mapping, and stakeholder collaboration Hands-on experience with testing practices including QA and UAT Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Media, Entertainment, or Publishing industries Understanding of publishing workflows and product lifecycle management Experience working with customized ERP applications and complex data infrastructure Tools & Technologies
