$105,863.00/yr - $128,677.00/yr
Bargaining Unit: Local 21 - Supervisory Management
Overview The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is offering an Assistant Capital Facilities Project Manager position located in Martinez, CA. Candidates should have an entry‑level project management background to support multiple capital facility and building renovation projects through completion and provide backup to other project managers.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of design and construction process
Strong communicator, positive attitude, team‑oriented
Customer‑focused, detail‑oriented
Ethics, integrity, credibility
Can assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously
License: valid California motor vehicle operator’s license
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Experience: Two years of full‑time project management experience
Responsibilities
Assist with executing Capital Projects throughout Contra Costa County
Assist with oversight of consultants, such as designers and other support staff
Support higher level staff with various tasks related to ongoing projects
Assist with change orders and ensure payments follow county policies, guidelines, and procedures
Assist in ensuring projects adhere to timelines and are completed within allocated budgets
Take part in ensuring that projects are properly closed out at completion
