Sentinel - Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst Location: Roy, Utah • 9/80 schedule (nine‑hour days Monday to Thursday with every other Friday off).

Program Overview Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Program Planning Analyst/Principal Program Planning Analyst to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. The role will manage and integrate supplier schedules into the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with business and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline for cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Perform schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.

Conduct thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.

Incorporate contractual changes into control systems, maintaining realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Participate in month‑end earned value reporting close activities.

Evaluate and review suppliers’ submitted schedules for compliance with project requirements and timelines.

Monitor supplier adherence to contractual milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with program objectives.

Develop and maintain a plan to integrate supplier schedules with the broader program IMS, identifying dependencies and mitigating potential scheduling conflicts.

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to execute schedule integration, continuously monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary.

Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and the program management team, communicating schedule status, risks, and updates.

Basic Qualifications

U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 1 year, or 6 years of related experience with a high school diploma (equivalent).

Principal level requires five years of experience or a master’s degree with three years.

Experience in accounting, finance, business administration, program cost analysis, or program scheduling.

Experience with schedule analytics.

Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, VBA, and/or macros).

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.

Experience with EVMS software such as SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, MPM, Acumen One IWO, Primavera P6.

EVM Certification.

Experience with schedule risk assessment tools and schedule analytics.

Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 – $105,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 – $130,000.00
