Job Description The Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) has active research programs in basic, translational, and clinical sciences. The MCOM Office of Research supports faculty and students with their research endeavors by providing research administrative support. This office reports to the Vice Dean of Research and is part of the MCOM Dean’s Office. The Fiscal & Business Analyst II will handle fiscal tasks for the Department of Molecular Medicine/Byrd Alzheimer's Institute, including complex projections, financial planning and forecasting, monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts, and handling financial reporting to ensure control and compliance. The position serves as a liaison to other USF departments and external agencies to resolve budget issues and provide appropriate budgetary information to related inquiries. The analyst will also assist with procurement requests.
Responsibilities
Maintain financial reports for the Molecular Medicine/Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, including monthly reconciliations for multiple USF Byrd accounts, and complete monthly projections for individual Molecular Medicine PIs.
Assist with preparing the all-source budget and other reports.
Enter grant award documents into the Bulls iResearch system and prepare budget allocations and reconciliations; process subaward contracts and prepare sponsor reports, meeting prescribed deadlines.
Process purchase order requests for the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute and Molecular Medicine, including BullMarketplace punchout orders and contract requests, ensuring that all requests are assigned to the appropriate chartfields and have appropriate funding.
Conduct monthly analyses to monitor spending and compliance, and process expenditure transfer requests as needed.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 2-4 years of fiscal experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in any field and three years of fiscal experience; or five years of fiscal experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of university and/or research fiscal and business experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; experience with federal funding and OMB guidelines is a benefit.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
Degree and Experience Equivalency (SB 1310)
Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree;
Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
