Job Description
The Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) has active research programs in basic, translational, and clinical sciences. The MCOM Office of Research supports faculty and students with their research endeavors by providing research administrative support. This office reports to the Vice Dean of Research and is part of the MCOM Dean’s Office. The Fiscal & Business Analyst II will handle fiscal tasks for the Department of Molecular Medicine/Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, including complex projections, financial planning/forecasting, monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts, financial reporting, and ensuring control/compliance. The analyst serves as a liaison to other USF departments and external agencies to resolve budget issues and provide budgetary information. The position also assists with procurement requests and other administrative duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Budget Management: Maintains financial reports for the Molecular Medicine/Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, completes monthly reconciliations for multiple USF Byrd accounts, and prepares the all-source budget and other reports.
Grant Awards: Enters grant award documents into the Bulls iResearch system, prepares budget allocations/reconciliations, processes subaward contracts, and prepares sponsor reports within prescribed deadlines.
Procurement: Processes purchase order requests, BullMarketplace punchout orders, and contract requests—ensuring all requests are assigned to the appropriate chartfields and that chartfields have appropriate funding.
Account Compliance: Conducts monthly analyses to monitor spending and compliance, and processes expenditure transfer requests as needed.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or directly related field) plus 2-4 years of fiscal-related work experience; or bachelor’s degree in unrelated field plus three years of fiscal-related work experience; or five years of fiscal-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications At least one year of university and/or research fiscal and business experience, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and experience with federal funding and OMB guidelines.

(e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer.
