Finance Regulatory Reporting SVP

The SVP position is an integral member of the Global Regulatory Reporting Group (GRR), a high-profile function providing financial information to regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and OCC. The role offers high visibility within Citi, with opportunities to work closely with Management and across groups such as Risk, Treasury, Controllers, SEC Reporting, Accounting Policy, FP&A, and Capital Planning. The core responsibility is the preparation and analysis of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Regulatory Reports required by FRB and OCC for Citigroup and Citibank entities (e.g., FR Y-9C, Call Report), along with regulatory remediation and analytics. Other duties include certain 10-Q/10-K disclosures, preparation/review of Board and Senior Management Presentations, maintenance of the global Accounting Policy Manual, internal controls on Regulatory data integrity, data quality improvement projects, and implementation of new reporting systems. Responsibilities
Lead and execute regulatory remediation such as consent order deliverables and regulatory MRAs/MRIAs Lead and participate in the review of multiple areas of regulatory filings such as FR Y-9C, Call Report, and other US Bank Regulatory Reports Lead in-depth analysis of variances focusing on loans, securities, deposits and derivatives, communicating results to Senior Management and US Regulatory Agencies Stay current on industry, regulatory, and accounting developments; apply accounting concepts to ensure accurate Regulatory Reporting filings; review new regulatory reporting requirements and US GAAP implications Monitor Federal Reserve reporting developments and assist Citi Finance functions in implementing/reporting requirements Communicate effectively with Senior Management, Regulatory Agencies, Internal/External Auditors, and the investor community Present complex concepts clearly to all organizational levels Collaborate with Controllers, SEC Reporting, Treasury, Risk, Accounting Policy, FP&A, Mergers & Acquisitions, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure high-quality report filings; build strong relationships with key contacts Manage, train, mentor, and evaluate assigned staff Drive process reengineering and continuous improvement to strengthen controls and data quality Lead/participate in regulatory exams, internal audits, and respond to external analysts’ questions; maintain professional relationships with regulators and auditors Lead/participate in projects and ad-hoc requests; perform thorough research and present results clearly Collaborate with team members across NY and Tampa to promote development and growth; GRR mission is reliable consolidated financial statement analysis and related information for regulators, investors, and senior management in a timely and efficient manner Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of financial analysis/reporting experience, preferably US Regulatory Reporting (e.g., FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031) with products including loans, securities, deposits, derivatives; strong GAAP/SEC reporting knowledge Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance CPA/MBA preferred Strong leadership and ability to innovate for efficiency and productivity Sense of urgency, decisive, action-oriented and practical Ability to align teams and resources to fit strategy Motivated, goal-oriented with ability to lead under fast-paced deadlines Ability to manage multiple priorities under challenging timeframes Flexibility to meet changing requirements and deadlines Outstanding presentation, communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills Ability to work with various management levels and build relationships across Citi, auditors, and regulators Strong analytical thinking; ability to implement within a solid framework Strong strategic thinking; experience with systems implementation and automation is a plus Technology savvy – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
