Responsibilities Rust Automation & Controls is seeking a dynamic Valve Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen customer relationships in our valve technologies sector. In this pivotal role, you’ll identify customer needs, craft tailored solutions, and champion our engineered valve products across industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Food & Beverage, Chemical, and more. This is a remote position, but you must reside within the assigned territory. If you combine strong technical expertise with exceptional relationship‑building skills and thrive in a consultative sales environment, we want to hear from you.
Roles & Responsibilities
Serve as the technical sales expert for control valves, actuators, and valve automation systems.
Drive new business development and expand accounts through a solutions‑oriented approach.
Collaborate with customers to specify engineered‑to‑order valve solutions for severe service applications.
Conduct site visits and application reviews to gather process data and build long‑term customer trust.
Prepare accurate quotations and collaborate with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Vendor teams.
Represent Rust and our manufacturers at industry events, training sessions, and customer audits.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in technical sales or applications engineering in the valve or process automation industry.
Working knowledge of control valve applications, sizing, and specifications.
Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings, and understand industrial process environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset.
Familiarity with CRM tools, quoting platforms, and vendor configurators.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).
