Toyoda Gosei Texas - Maintenance Technician
Toyoda Gosei Texas, located on the famed state of the art Toyota campus in beautiful southwest San Antonio, is looking for a top‑tier, motivated, Maintenance Technician assigned primarily to the Paint Services department. This is a great opportunity for the right person!
Responsibilities
Provide guidance in troubleshooting paint department processes including spray equipment, drying ovens, materials, and related systems.
Support department in cross‑functional communication between production, engineering, quality, and maintenance to facilitate effective information exchange.
Responsible for the implementation of improvement projects designed to reduce total product cost, improve product quality, and reduce process cycle times.
Coordinate, schedule, track, and oversee regular maintenance and servicing of spray booths, drying ovens, and related equipment, working collaboratively with plant engineering and maintenance support groups.
Apply diagnostic and troubleshooting skills related to spray and drying equipment.
Demonstrate effectiveness of material, equipment, or process changes through sound validation activities in compliance with company guidelines.
Establish constant cycles, standardize procedures, and reduce variation between and within set‑ups to drive continuous improvement.
Conduct process tests to validate paint quality and drying performance, documenting results.
Ensure that changes result in an optically and cosmetically acceptable finish on products.
Perform process validation for new paint materials, drying equipment, processes, or modifications.
Work Experience Requirements
Associate’s/Technical degree or minimum 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding and skill in mathematics principles.
Proven leadership ability.
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, and Outlook, primarily)
Knowledge / Position Requirements
Clear and concise verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Understand Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) principle.
Able to work flexible hours. (primarily Monday through Friday)
Understand basic paint process principles including spray application and drying cycles.
Understand paint material dry times, cure temperatures, and flow characteristics.
Basic knowledge of automated paint equipment and robotic spray systems is a plus.
Self‑starter with proven ability to earn and give respect to all employees.
Familiarity with the Toyota Production System. (A HUGE plus!)
