Mobile Diesel Technician II with a $2000 New Hire Bonus at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. The Fleet Services team focuses on on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for fleets nationwide. Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, transmissions, clutches, and more. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems; inspect and test equipment using appropriate tools and instruments; road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation. Identify problems, evaluate information, and determine effective solutions; manage parts inventory for service trucks; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections. Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work, and work independently with a daily schedule; obtain parts from approved vendors as needed. Document work according to company standards, including photos and Repair Orders (RO) on company devices; complete DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely fashion. Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as higher-level certification/education in a related field, or 5 years of related experience. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties. Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Meet DOT/FMCSA requirements, including successful DOT pre-employment screening and physical; valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one, and be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File as required. Certifications

ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months; other ASE drivetrain/electrical/hvac certifications may be preferred. Preferred Certifications

ASE T3 (Drivetrain), T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension), T6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems), T7 (HVAC), T8/608/609 certifications as applicable. Skills & Abilities

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to explain information clearly. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and perform moderately heavy labor; ability to work for long periods. Effective communication with customers and teammates; ability to determine tools and equipment needed; good spatial judgment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently; use logic to evaluate alternatives. Benefits
