Position Overview The Quality Assurance Assistant will support our QA team by ensuring that home improvement projects meet our high standards for quality and safety. This role involves observing construction practices, interacting with homeowners, and using various tools and systems to maintain compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Monitoring: Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with permitting, lead-safe practices, product specifications, and building codes. Prepare detailed field notes and reports.
Homeowner Interaction: Spend up to 50% of the day traveling to homeowners to discuss home improvement projects and inspections. Vehicle provided. Address and resolve homeowner complaints, offering solutions that meet their needs.
Equipment Use: Utilize basic equipment such as measuring tapes and ladders.
Documentation: Review project documents, including contracts and program-built plans, to ensure records align with homeowner contractual requirements. Use computer network drives (CRM), email (Outlook), and document management systems as required by the project.
Technical Communication: Explain contracts and technical information to homeowners and subcontractors clearly and effectively.
Professional Development: Pursue additional certifications as assigned to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Communication skills: Effective at discussing technical information and resolving conflicts with homeowners.

Physical Requirements Regularly required to walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand and talk or hear. Frequently required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Product training: GAF, Hardie, Sentrel, Alside, Lead certified, OSHA certified, IRC certified.
