Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Position Summary The Product Compliance Specialist is the subject matter expert for customer compliance requirements, especially for IKEA related products. “Compliance” in this context refers to product quality, labeling, shipping, and supply chain requirements. This individual will work closely with the Quality, Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and Shipping teams to ensure compliance during all aspects of the product life cycle (including raw materials).
Position Description
Interpret and apply customer-specific requirements (including IKEA and other major accounts) and relevant state, federal, and local regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes; communicate impacts and lead or support implementation efforts.
Serve as primary administrator for the CONNECT system to ensure quality compliance documentation is current and accurate. Documentation & Reporting
Collect and report sustainability metrics (MSS reporting) and other compliance-related data.
Maintain required records for audits and inspections.
Support engineering change processes, including preparing change requests and developing SOPs. Audits & Quality Assurance
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance audits.
Verify that sampling, inspections, and material transfers meet customer requirements.
Liaise with Quality, Production, and Shipping teams to address audit findings and undertake corrective actions. Cross-Department Collaboration
Provide compliance guidance during new product development, packaging design, and labeling.
Partner with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations to integrate compliance into everyday workflows.
Maintain clear communication with upper management on compliance status and risks. Other Duties
Use company document control systems proficiently.
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing compliance experience.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and interpret complex product requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, engineering, quality management).
Knowledge of compliance in the bedding industry.
Project management experience.
Multilingual (Mandarin a plus).
