Low Temp Loader/Unloader - 3rd Shift

in Branford, CT. The role involves loading and unloading various blades, vanes, and other OEM parts into and out of furnaces in the Low-Temperature Furnace Department. All training necessary to perform this job will be provided in-house by Howmet. Responsibilities
Review work instructions, stored electronically and written in English, for each job assignment to ensure compliance with product requirements. Load parts in an orderly manner, ensure walls of containers are clear, that parts are submerged properly into powder, and placed so they do not touch one another. Inspect parts to ensure they are properly masked and uniform before submitting to the process. Remove masking solids from parts after processing (Smutting) using a manual blast cabinet as needed. Prepare and complete paperwork covering areas of responsibility (Loading Diagrams); verify accuracy of documentation (part number, quantity, order number). Move filled boats to appropriately sized shoe boxes using rolling tables and lift devices; attach thermocouples as needed. Inspect parts after processing and return them to their original cartons when appropriate. Complete related paperwork (e.g., routers, internal records) following PMS and Activity Instructions. Enter Cycle Ramp Rates, Soak Times, and Cycle Times per Process Sheets; monitor temperature to ensure correct process execution. Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow standard operating procedures for all related tasks. Use proper and safe containerization methods for all hazardous waste. Adhere to all safety rules and wear protective equipment as directed. Perform other duties as needed or directed by management. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Access to export-controlled items; employment offers conditioned on ability to lawfully obtain access. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of manufacturing experience highly desired. Experience operating manufacturing equipment, strong math skills, and leadership qualities preferred. Skills & Abilities
Reading and comprehension of simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple documentation. Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units). Ability to follow instructions and solve problems with a few concrete variables. Strong organizational skills for maintaining records and reports. Work Environment
The role typically works in a shop environment with exposure to loud noise, heat/fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and moving mechanical parts with risk of electrical shock.
