Michaels Stores . Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating framing solutions for their art. Drive sales of custom framing and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions. Major Activities
Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements; ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results. Develop and coach the team in selling behaviors. Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager. Achieve KPI targets and manage the framing team to meet their KPIs. Review sales and production workload; plan sales floor activities for networking. Manage inventory processes as assigned. Manage shrink and safety programs. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD). Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development and participate in performance management activities; utilize leadership competencies for self-development. Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and team performance. Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote a positive image and serve as a role model. Participate in truck unload and stocking processes, ensuring standards are followed and completed within budget. Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment. Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions. Assist with omni-channel processes. Other Duties As Assigned
Minimum Experience Required
Basic computer skills Preferred Experience
Previous custom framing experience (preferred) Retail management experience Experience leading a sales team Physical Requirements
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching Ability to move throughout the store Ability to stand for long periods Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves with ladders Work Environment
Public retail store setting; climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
