Logistics Manager - Final Mile Management at Anker Innovations LTD. We are looking for a logistics professional to manage final mile delivery operations and transportation resource management in the United States from our Bolingbrook, IL location. Responsibilities
Logistics Distribution Management: Oversee the full process for local truck delivery and courier business for B2B customers (retailers, distributors) by designing truck routes (including LTL/FTL matching); for B2C customers, coordinate with courier services (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) to balance delivery speed and cost, improve on-time delivery rates, and reduce courier shipment complaints. Optimize Delivery Solutions: Dynamically adjust truck and courier proportions based on order size and address to minimize total delivery cost, prioritizing trucks for large items and couriers for smaller, scattered orders. Monitor Final Mile Delivery: Ensure drivers and couriers collect proof of delivery (POD) to keep evidence complete and traceable. Transportation Resource Management: Build and manage a diverse transportation resource pool (own fleet and third-party carriers, couriers) and establish core and backup vendors; ensure capacity during seasonal spikes. Supplier KPI Management: Monitor final mile supplier performance and implement improvement or replacement plans as needed. Cost Optimization: Collaborate with procurement on bulk negotiations, annual contracts, and capacity sharing to target year-over-year transportation cost reductions. End-to-End Billing: Liaise with carriers and couriers; review invoices, ensure consistency with agreements and records, and prevent duplicate or incorrect charges. Billing Discrepancy Handling: Set up review mechanisms to resolve charge discrepancies within required cycles. Cost Monitoring and Optimization: Periodically review per-unit costs, identify regional variances, generate reports, and drive improvements. Exception Handling on Shipments: Develop standardized processes for common issues (customer refusal, shortage) including on-site communication and rescheduling for prompt resolution. Cross-team Collaboration & Process Optimization: Coordinate with the warehouse team to align outbound pacing and avoid backlog; liaise with sales to verify exception PODs and support customer/platform claims. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields. 5+ years of US-based logistics operations experience, with 3+ years managing US local truck and courier operations; familiarity with major carrier models; warehouse/transportation integration experience preferred. Strong cross-functional project and team management abilities. Familiarity with US Dangerous Goods (DG) transportation regulations. Benefits & Compensation
Base pay range:
