Primary Responsibilities

Manage Transmission Line projects of all sizes and complexities, domestically and potentially abroad, and collaborate with design teams to execute these projects. Execute and manage all aspects of transmission line engineering projects, including scope and proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, quality control, scope, schedule, and budget management, and project closeout. Projects may include routing/siting, public involvement, environmental permitting, real estate acquisition, construction management, or other services. Lead and/or supervise project engineers, EITs, coordinators, designers, CADD technicians, and administrative staff; provide workload, schedule, quality, utilization, morale, and performance oversight. Oversee non-engineering components of projects, such as public engagement, agency engagement (County/State/Federal), permitting, right of way acquisition, and construction management as applicable. Lead the QA/QC process per HDR's Quality Management Systems requirements to deliver services and work products that meet or exceed client expectations. Support client management and participate in broader business development activities with existing and target clients in the region and beyond. Coordinate with Area and Regional leadership and HDR's Talent Acquisition team to develop a hiring plan to build and grow a group of professionals to meet program and practice needs. Work across offices to share staff and resources to execute projects. Represent HDR in support of marketing and proposal development for new opportunities. Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. FE or PE license preferred; PMP may be substituted for PE. At least 2 years of project management experience. Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal). Compensation varies by experience and location. The targeted salary range for this position is $105,403 - $190,200; in New Jersey, it ranges from $95,000 to $198,125. Job Details
