GKN Automotive . Job Description: Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Troubleshoot equipment downtime issues, focusing on electrical wiring, switches, sensors, etc., and support software packages and control documents. Diagnose PLC programs, drive and scanner issues, and work with HMI interfaces and graphics for better operator interaction. Manage control devices such as PG and laptops for troubleshooting. Recommend program actions to resolve major issues. Collaborate with maintenance technicians, vendors, and engineers to develop effective automated control systems. Ensure proper shutdown and startup procedures are followed. Troubleshoot robot issues and perform reteaching/touchups. Train maintenance personnel in corrective maintenance and electronic equipment installation. Assist with system access, backups, and data recovery for controls systems. Coordinate with vendors to resolve controls issues. Maintain safety certifications and adhere to OSHA, ISO standards. Report issues affecting Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality to management. Qualifications: High School Diploma and maintenance training/courses, or AS in controls technology or Journeyman Electrician. Siemens S7 programming experience required. 4+ years in manufacturing environment, preferably in automated production. 2-5 years in a Maintenance Technician role. Skills: Teamwork, understanding of relay & PLC logic, mathematical and analytical skills, problem-solving, and ability to interpret technical instructions. About GKN Automotive:
