Robotics Technician (All Shifts) The Robotics Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting robotic and automated production equipment within a high-volume battery manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment availability by resolving automation, robotics, and control system issues, with a strong emphasis on robotic systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and electro‑pneumatic devices. The Robotics Technician works closely with engineering, maintenance, IT, and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and new process launches. Base pay range

$32.00/hr - $40.00/hr Key Responsibilities

Quickly identify equipment failures and restore operation to reduce production interruptions Diagnose, repair, and support PLC-based control systems, HMIs, sensors, and related automation hardware Perform detailed failure analysis and implement long‑term corrective solutions to prevent repeat issues Maintain and service electrical components such as motors, drives, contactors, and safety circuits using approved tools and procedures Read and interpret electrical drawings to assist with modifications and upgrades Coordinate with IT resources as needed to resolve automation or network‑related production issues Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems including valves, cylinders, regulators, and air distribution components Interpret pneumatic diagrams and assist with system improvements Connect, configure, and troubleshoot vision inspection systems utilizing Keyence and Cognex platforms Operate, recover, and support industrial robots, including Fanuc systems, with basic program edits and fault recovery Perform robot teaching, end‑of‑arm tooling adjustments, and manual operations using teach pendants Modify PLC logic and control parameters under direction of engineering Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot HMI screens to support changing production requirements Support barcode scanning and tracking systems using vision and sensor technologies Assist with equipment installations, process validations, and capability studies for new or updated production lines Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce costs, and increase throughput Ensure equipment and work practices comply with applicable safety and electrical standards Support documentation updates including work instructions and maintenance procedures Provide technical assistance to operators and maintenance personnel Support off‑shift and on‑call coverage as required Follow all federal, state, and company safety and compliance policies Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Controls, Automation, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience Two or more years of experience supporting automation, robotics, or controls in a manufacturing environment Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms and Fanuc robotic systems Strong working knowledge of pneumatic systems and industrial electrical components Experience with HMI platforms, Keyence sensors and cameras, Cognex vision systems, and barcode tracking Basic understanding of automation networking and manufacturing system connectivity Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting industrial printers is a plus Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and control cabinet layouts preferred Foundational knowledge of 3D models and automation layouts Willingness to learn and support MES platforms and SQL‑based manufacturing databases Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills Knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Seniority level
