Guided by knowledge of the basic principles of nursing based on biological, physical, and psychosocial sciences, utilizes judgment supported by evidence and nursing theory in the delivery of nursing care. Provides, coordinates and/or delegates nursing care and manages resources in the delivery of care for patients, the family of patients and the community, with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health. Formal Education Required
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Applicants with an Associate’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by CCNE or ACEN Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio Experience And Training Required
PRN RNs must have at least one-year recent experience in the area of practice One year of related RN experience is required for weekend option positions Additional related previous experience and/or preparation may be required for specialty units Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination Requires standing and walking for extended periods Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range Requires working under stressful conditions or irregular hours Requires exposure to potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment Maintains current Basic Life Support certification; ACLS within specified timelines for critical care areas Population Specific Competency
Additional education or certifications may be required for specialty areas (e.g., PALS, NIH, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) Ability to effectively interact with patient populations with understanding of needs for self-respect, dignity, and diversity Level Of Physical Demands
Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continually to move objects Salary and Benefits
Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled $33.75/hr - $53.00/hr. The salary range is base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Pay decisions consider factors such as experience and location. This range reflects base pay; offers may vary.
