Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: Birmingham Area, Legacy of Hope

The Quality Assurance Coordinator I is responsible for reviewing donor files and coordinating the release of confidential donor and recipient information to outside agencies. Performs internal/external audits and assists in replying to audits from outside agencies. The coordinator will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and must demonstrate a responsible attitude toward continued professional growth.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s or professional degree (e.g., LPN, RN, PA, etc.). Previous experience within an organ procurement organization, tissue bank, or the donation industry acceptable in lieu of education requirement.

Preferred: Experience in healthcare field in ancillary capacity. One year of quality assurance or quality control experience in a healthcare or related field.

License, Certification and/or Registration

Required: N/A

Preferred: Certified Tissue Bank Specialist certification or North American Transplant Coordinators Organization Certification.
