A Typical Day As you inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, you’ll build client relationships that grow stronger every year. In this role you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll lead as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. You will also serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Responsibilities Provide leadership and development of tax office associates; deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives Advance knowledge and skills to excel as a tax topic and product resource for associates Lead daily activities to ensure work is completed on time with attention to quality standards, priorities, and goals Train and coach associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management Prepare tax returns as required Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center Your Expertise Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role Experience supervising or managing people Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns) Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements Computer proficiency with MS Office Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Customer-centric mindset, with flexibility in schedule and assignments based on business needs High school diploma or equivalent (or higher) Why work for us We invest in our people by supporting their total well-being.
