Job Description:
This role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless flow of materials that support manufacturing operations and requires a proactive approach to supply planning, coordination, and inventory management.
Operational Support: Ensures daily material availability through execution and monitoring of MRP results, release of purchase requisitions, and coordination with buyers and functional teams to prevent production delays.
Planning Oversight: Maintains accurate material master data and planning parameters in SAP ECC to balance service levels, inventory targets, and demand fluctuations while supporting short‑term and long‑term production goals.
Process Enhancement: Identifies and implements opportunities to improve planning accuracy, streamline communication between Planning, Purchasing, and Quality, and reduce waste through data‑driven analysis and system optimization.
Problem Resolution: Investigates and resolves material shortages, capacity constraints, and exception messages by collaborating across functions and escalating issues through tiered meeting structures when necessary.
Cost Management: Drives efficient inventory utilization through SMOG analysis, safety stock optimization, and reduction of scrap and obsolescence, contributing to cost control and operational efficiency.
Daily MRP result review, release purchase req. to buyers, and exception message monitoring and resolution.
Coordinate and communicate problems with proposed resolutions to functional groups such as operational buyers and master schedulers.
Set up and maintenance of detailed material requirement planning parameters in SAP ECC to achieve a high service level and minimize inventory.
Expediting material availability by collaborating with functional groups such as QA, Purchasing, and escalating to tier meeting structure.
Update KPIs related to material, performance and inventory levels.
Execution of key material availability, mobilization or write actions to support optimal management of inventory while reducing scrap/waste.
Perform discard (SMOG) analysis and implement an action plan to minimize waste.
Review, analyze, and update safety stock and reordering parameters in SAP ECC to achieve a high service level and minimize waste.
Track, report, and facilitate on‑time material availability, including testing and release for production.
Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
Participate in quality management processes such as deviation, CAPA, and Change control.
Review and execute raw material expiration extension and stock conversion.
Participate and execute projects as assigned.
Back up production planning as needed.
Other tasks assigned as needed.
